The Academy is based on the idea that human rights should be mass promoted at both the national and international levels, in order to assist in the goal of creating a just and peaceful world.

All projects will reflect Academy's following core values:

• Individual Empowerment: The Academy's training program draws on the participant's personal experiences to achieve transformative learning.
• Ubiquitous communication: The Academy's activities and programs incorporate simple, reliable, and well-known communication methods that are hands-on such as theatre, games, videos, interactive discussion forums, and fieldwork.
• Women & Youth: The Academy recognizes the vital importance of both women and youth in communities, and will prioritize them as an important constituent in it's programs.
• Alternative methods: The Academy uses specialized resources to reach out and help individuals with less advanced literacy levels with a focus on informal and learner-centered model.
